Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the application of nonparametric statistics and computer simulation in order to find a solution to the problem of evaluating the durability of rolling bearings when their loading mode in operation is determined by a certain law of radial load distribution. What is it with the utilization of nonparametric statistical techniques and computer simulation, the parameters are determined by a particular law of radial load distribution. It has been demonstrated that the real laws when it comes to evaluating the likelihood of bearing failure, the distribution of the f safety factor is notably different from the usual distribution. For example, the probability of failure for the rolling bearing 2207 by dynamic load capacity at transition from the light to heavy loading mode with account of the actual law of safety factor distribution changes from 3.874% to 14.017%; at the same time in assumption of the normal law the probability of failure changes from 0.812% to 44.953%. Bearing durability is calculated using a method that is universal and does not depend on the law of bearing loading, as provided by the authors of the study. With the help of the example of the random load density function, which is bimodal, the method is demonstrated successfully. If the loading law is a complete and utter failure, then
